"Poor boy. Separated from your kin, your clan and your world. Know what it means to be truly alone, suffer as I have suffered."
Ryuuhei could hear the voice echo through his mind, all around him, he was surrounded by the void of shadow. The snow haired boy felt a cold move down his spine, his view beginning to grow brighter as his eyes finally parted open. The sky. The young Kaguya clan members' blue irises were fixed on the darkened sky, clouds collecting overhead as he took a moment to collect himself. Using his left hand to prop himself up, the boy would let out a pained groan, grasping at his abdomen as he let out a series of pained gasps, slowly working his way up. As the boy let his hand clutch at his rib cage, Ryuuhei would feel the warmth of his sanguine life force leaking down his torso and small speckles of it reddening the river. In the middle of his abdomen, Ryuuhei had been punctured by something that was no longer present, the gash was 4 inches in diameter and luckily had not gone completely through his small figure.
Just barely, the boy managed to save his own life, whatever had attacked him had not been able to pierce through the armor of bone under his flesh. Still, Ryuuhei was heavily injured and with his battered body and location, he had no idea if he could look for help. Everything was so different, the last thing he remembered was waking up and now suddenly, he found himself deserted and beaten. Ryuuhei managed to work himself up onto both feet, his bone sword and sheathe had been tossed to the side but had not been taken from him. He would grasp at the sword and sheathe, using it as a sort of walking stick as Ryuuhei moved from the lake and walked along the wet stones, barely able to keep himself upright. He was hunched over slightly, placing most of his weight onto his sheathed blade as the more stress he placed on walking, the heavier his blood loss became.
There was a simple dirt path leading from the lake into the dense forest, Ryuuhei did not know where it lead and frankly, he didn't care. His chakra was nearly drained completely, that being said he was unable to stop himself from bleeding via the use of his kekkei genkai. His only option was to persevere forward and hope that he ran into someone by chance. Either they were friendly and he was going to get some help or they were the ones who beat him this badly and now they were going to finish the job themselves. His shoulders would heave as he began to grow more fatigued, a feeling of nausea and exhaustion washing over the boy as he paused for a moment, trying to shake it off. He knew exactly what was going on, with so much blood loss, he was beginning to grow weak, very soon he would be unable to even stand if it continued on for too much longer.
As Ryuuhei hobbled through the dense forest, his vision began to blur, the edges of his sight slowly darkening as he focused on the path itself. Little by little, his sight narrowed until he could only look down and see his feet on the brown dirt path, yet he continued to move. His pace had gone from a walk to a slow hobble and now he was stumbling about, leaning on his blade for support. His body began to feel cold, he had lost so much blood that he had left a speckled trail behind where he walked and finally, Ryuuhei's body could not keep up with his spirit. The snow haired child would lose his balance, his sword falling to the side as he collapsed face first into the dirt and laid there motionless. Ryuuhei would roll onto his back, gasping out as he looked up to the emerald leaves over head, a light rain beginning to descend from the darkened sky. The droplets of water rained down onto Ryuuhei as he lay there, taking the moment to just watch and listen.
"I think...this is really it. Heh, too bad...I really wanted to make it past being a Genin."
A smile moved over Ryuuhei's face as he let a light chuckle escape from his lips, tears streaming down as he struggled to keep his composure. A warmth would move over the boy as he lay in place, letting his eyes slip shut for what he knew would be the last time.Ryuuhei could hear the voice echo through his mind, all around him, he was surrounded by the void of shadow.
