[Sasuke Uchiha]

Brooding...it seemed to be a skill Sasuke had mastered far before any other technique in his arsenal and one he would apparently be using for the rest of his life. Usually the uchiha would only brood when contemplating new ways to feed the insatiable hunger for power he used to have in his youth. Yet now he found himself brooding over not being as close to his daughter as he would have liked to be. He let out a subtle sigh "how things have changed.." The uchiha thought to himself while walking at a steady pace with a cup of tea in hand. His onyx eyes were as impossible to read as always, leaving no observable clues as to what went on in his head, those very eyes quickly scanned the area. The weather was undecided and provided a warm atmosphere with the occasional breeze, not the most amusing weather conditions at all. Sasuke continued to move at a steady pace as thoughts refused to let his mind rest. Occasionally he would walk even slower to take a small sip from the cup before moving onward, clearly he was in no rush. It seemed a tad too optimistic for Sasuke to actually believe that he would come back from what had to be the longest mission in Konoha history and have everything play out normally between him and Sarada. "Naruto must be rubbing off on me more than I thought" the uchiha thought to himself once more with a subtle shake of his head, sure things had gotten better with time between him and his daughter but both of them could still feel that little gap they hadn't traversed as of yet. Before he knew it Sasuke had already arrived at the old training grounds it seemed his thoughts had made him oblivious of the distance he had traveled, upon arrival he completely stopped and was able to enjoy the rest of his hot beverage while waiting for a certain blonde Genin. Sasuke's eyes took in the sight of the old training grounds, they were permanently scarred with scorch marks Sasuke remembers himself leaving back in the day, most of the trees that surrounded the place had deep cuts or Kunai holes and one or two trees were completely severed and had nothing but the stumps left. None of that was the Uchiha's handy work which left the obvious conclusion that the next generation had also taken to training here as well. Just as Sasuke had been calmly sipping his tea and taking in the view of the vast training area, he felt a presence. He could feel someone watching him from the trees that were still somewhat intact, Sasuke decided not to react to it and instead moved to one of the large tree stumps in order to sit down and enjoy his tea properly. It could have been Boruto trying to ambush him or another person, either way Sasuke awaited for that person to make their move and make their purpose known. Excitement. That was all Boruto could feel today as he wandered the vast plain of seemingly endless trees, comtemplating his plans for the day. Today was another day of training with Sasuke; which was always exciting. He loved hearing stories, and learning techniques and other things from him more than most of his mission experiences. In a way though, Boruto felt bad. His relationship with Sasuke was in some ways closer than poor Sarada has ever had with him. "Well, at least she has dad..." He mumbled to himself as he thought about it, kicking a rock for a moment as a wash of empathy towards Sarada hit him like a truck.

Reaching the training grounds, Boruto leaned against a tree. For once he had beaten Sasuke there. Yes... this could be my chance to show him what I can do! He thought, as he began cooking up a plan of attack. Even if he couldn't land a hit on him, surprising him would definately show him that he's made some progress. Tapping his feet as he thought, a spark shot off in Boruto's mind and he stopped shaking his foot and slammed his fist down. "I know..." He said as he pushed his hands together, forming a sign with his hands. "...SHADOW CLONE JUSTU!" He shouted, creating three shadow clones.

The first clone clambered up a tree, sitting within the leaves in the branch and watching down for when Sasuke arrived. The second hid in the bushes behind another tree, nearby to a stump in the shade of another. Boruto himself ran up another tree, hanging on the outside facing away from the training area, and the last one was standing at the base behind a tree, ready to make his move. Finally Sasuke arrived on the scene, and Boruto's plan kicked into action the moment he sat down for his tea.

"RASENGAN!" The clone in the first tree said, as he lept towards Sasuke, showing his position with his loud words as he came down from above. The one in the bushes near the stump threw two kunai towards him from the bushes before poofing. The third ran from behind the tree to engage Sasuke from another direction, leaving Boruto to to swing from the branch in that direction, aiming a kick towards him. All four Boruto's had a smile plastered on their face.

For a brief moment Sasuke was able to sip his hot beverage in something close to silence, completely ignoring the presence he felt. Then ,all of a sudden a familiar voice could be heard, Boruto exclaimed RASENGAN at what sounded like the peak of his capability and his tone was followed by the trademark blue glow of the rasengan as well as the whisper-like sound of the chakra spiraling at high speeds. Within a fraction of a second Sasuke's Onyx eyes took on a crimson color accompanied by the formation of 3 perfectly positioned tomoe. Sasuke had decided to use the standard sharingan for the matter simply because he knew how resourceful Boruto was, this wouldn't be a basic attack. The sound of the genin's rasengan almost managed to block out the rustling sound that came from different directions. With that, Sasuke was able to deduce that Boruto had him surrounded with a few clones. It took Sasuke's eyes little more than a few seconds to collect as much information about his surroundings as possible. Taking note of any vital details like the position of each shadow clone and the projectiles one of the clones threw. Boruto's strategy might have worked but the main flaw was that all the attacks had one focal point, all of the attacks were aimed at Sasuke directly and were all set off simultaneously with the intent to have them all reach Sasuke at the same time. This would be a problem because if Sasuke wasn't in the epicenter of all these attacks they would all collide, the Rasengan wielding Boruto would end up colliding with the other two Boruto's that decided to attack Sasuke using taijutsu and possibly hurt them with the Rasengan, and the Kunai thrown by the fourth Boruto would also pose a problem since the kunai could possibly hit one of the clones or the original Boruto. Sasuke could have tried to deflect each attack accordingly to avoid all of the Borutos colliding but that would mean the Uchiha would have to put his tea aside or drop it completely which was a waste of good tea, plus Sasuke was a creature of logic and tact. All that exta effort just seemed unnecessary, so instead of remaining in his current location and handling each attack Sasuke decided to use Shunshin no jutsu. In an instant Sasuke used the basic shunshin and became a dark blue blur, he appeared several feet away from where he was before and away from the focal point of Boruto's attacks. The Uchiha watched as the Rasengan wielding Boruto came closer to colliding with the other Borutos and the two Kunai that were thrown by the fourth clone. Sasuke was curious to see how quickly all of the Borutos would notice that he was no longer at the epicenter of their attacks and how quickly they would react before collision with each other. The Uchiha stood as calmly as ever and slowly continued sipping his tea, he had to admit that the attack was well thought out, aside from the part that Boruto didn't factor in the fact that his target could disappear and the attacks could end up colliding with each other.
